Templar Guild - Ork Buster

So, at last, here we are...
a week till DOOMSDAAAY 

We've found original china "OrkBuster" game (it's named different there): 塔防联盟
(no, really, it doesn't mean "Ork Buster". It's something like "Tower Defence Alliance")

and... believe it or not, many of us are playing chinese version, chinese servers.

Game is quite different, with more features, and more developed.

i.e.:
* no need to farm like crazy for materials to upgrade towers. You upgrade with amethyst after reaching some needed hero levels.
* equipment up to level 80+.
* enchanting equipment is a bit different.
* instead of getting tower materials, you get some shards, you can then use on different things (not only tower upgrade).
* you can play multiplayer any dungeon.
* you can train monsters, and attack other players cities to loot amethyst (use it, don't stockpile!)
* you can build up city defenses with your towers.
* no mysterious continent. Events are different.
* dungeon layout is almost the same, but tower and monsters stats are different.

After knowing all this, makes my wonder: was it really necesary to ruin the game with all things changed as we had?
Think I won't get a reasonable answer.

Anyway, if you have too much free time, and don't know what to do with it, go for it. You'll find exAG like Lan, Ratta, slag, Isabel, pame. And exOB4 players, like petra58. Remember server 62 (双线62服), join top guild (whatever it's name is).

Being away this past week.. was quite busy

Well, at last, it happened: AG server went offline, and on friday it was announced at OB4 that all servers will be shut down.
We were right beign suspicuos about it. Delay was only to get some of us hooked for another month.

Found that there are others developers offering OrkBuster servers for "outside china". Not to mention chineese version of the game.
But although I liked very much the game concept, won't go on with it. Has many important bugs that allow some kind of cheating, and progress curves are simply very poorly designed. Submitted tickets about it all, and haven't seen any serious attempt to fix any.

Haven't found any suitable replacement game yet. There are tons of such MMO games, but all seem to follow the pay-to-win concept. Something I do dislike.

And about game, gameplay changes to heavy farming game after Qurana City/Chasing the Light. That's where many people leave game, and were I had to choose... leave or go on.

As you can see my decision was to go on, not for game itself, since there are a lot of similar games around, but to keep in touch with you, and people there. And that's the same reason why i'm playing in the OB4 server. It's hard to start, but gets better after getting to know people playing there. Yet not as fun as it was AG1 months ago, but better than nothing for me.

Haven't said it so far, but no doubt i've also enjoyed being Templar with you. And look forward to find a new game were we can team up again, and fight evil forces again . Somewhere in the future, anytime

It's true it's more fun with more than 1 strong guild. Even 2 or 3 like months ago in AG server.

As Lara said, when we get stronger (and maybe more players from AG join?), and server has more active players, we could think of starting a new guild

Anyway, Isabel, i see new players joinin this guild, on a daily basis. They must be kicking afk players.
And also, soon guild will be ready to upgrade to level 9, so there will be free room. My guess is 1 or 2 weeks.

news so far are as follows:

• After sending a ticked to OB support, they told me that all OB servers where going to be shutdown (answer said all, not just AG servers).
• A few days after shutdown was announced, Lara used her FB account to create a new character. She's been playing so far, and there's no notice in that server of any shutdown, so far (FB server are different from AG servers).
• Yesterday talked to Lan, told me many elite guild players are playing with new accounts on Server #4, main OB site (different from FB servers?). He mentioned LaRatta, Maka, Sango, maybe many others. Again, there's no notice nor news about that server shutting down, either.

Anyone who has more information about OB servers, please share it in this thread
