Hi again,
news so far are as follows:
- After sending a ticked to OB support, they told me that all OB servers where going to be shutdown (answer said all, not just AG servers).
- A few days after shutdown was announced, Lara used her FB account to create a new character. She's been playing so far, and there's no notice in that server of any shutdown, so far (FB server are different from AG servers).
- Yesterday talked to Lan, told me many elite guild players are playing with new accounts on Server #4, main OB site (different from FB servers?). He mentioned LaRatta, Maka, Sango, maybe many others. Again, there's no notice nor news about that server shutting down, either.
Anyone who has more information about OB servers, please share it in this thread :)

I started to play server 4. There is no announcement about the shutting down, but we will see.
I play as "Isabel" also in server 4:). If anyone knows good guilds in server 4, let me know:)

I've also started a new character in OB Server 4. Name is RatDaq, guild Noldor.
About the server (to all of you):
- Has some decent activity.
- Max level players around 65.
- Noldor is the only big guild, takes all territories so far ;)
- However, duels are between all 4 servers.
- Also Mystery Continent is running here. And other event too (think it's seven-day battle).
Must say, it was fun to redo first levels, with foul equipment ;D
but a bit easy... 8)
Also, guild is not far from upgrading lvl9, so will be free room soon.

Noldor seems to be full, so I have to find some other guild. Much faster to play as a member of guild, but it is a bit problem that one guild is too strong.
Nice to play rom the beginning again anyway:)

It's true it's more fun with more than 1 strong guild. Even 2 or 3 like months ago in AG server.
As Lara said, when we get stronger (and maybe more players from AG join?), and server has more active players, we could think of starting a new guild 8)
Anyway, Isabel, i see new players joinin this guild, on a daily basis. They must be kicking afk players.
And also, soon guild will be ready to upgrade to level 9, so there will be free room. My guess is 1 or 2 weeks.

It would be appreciated if you could come to OB at AG. You are the leader! You said that you would be there daily until shutdown.

OB4, it's working really bad last days. Gameplay get's stuck every 3-5min., which means loosing the dungeon run you're in. However, still will wait and see if gets fixed.
As far as i know, Ratta talked to our comunity manager (!? :o) or support guy, and was told OB servers (main site www.orkbuster.com -> go server 4) will go on, won't shut down.

Hi all :)
First post here, and i'm really happy that we have this forum so we all can stay in contact!
I wanted to say, i really enjoyed being in Templar with all of you, we did a good job holding ground against Elite, and already had some nice and really funny chats :D. Too bad the game lacked of good ways to communicate. I can only repeat what i said in game already, it was really cool up to the point when it was just grinding for weeks to proceed any further. At some point i even had no fun anymore in playing it at all, rather than just doing the daily stuff and so on, collecting stuff for next event or generally for later use.
When i login now, i don't even feel motivated anymore to click on any icon, partly because i got bored of it and partly because i know it makes no sense anyway because the game will shutdown in like 10 days. That said, i will not come online daily anymore. I will stick around here though and keep reading from time to time. Maybe one day we find something cool as replacement. In the meanwhile i realized how much time i've spent on this game in the past... being logged in for like 8-10 hours, clicking stuff etc. I must say, i enjoy not playing anything at all for now. Started reading a lot, mostly news articles and comment sections.
Btw, on Kongregate someone told me that Proficient City already did this with many games under a different company name, buying games, hosting them for a year or so until profit isn't increasing anymore, then taking them offline and rinse/repeat somewhere else. Seems to be profitable enough to keep going. Dunno if this is true but i wouldn't be too surprised if it was. ;D And sth funny: You know that story when i wrote to support, asking stuff about the game, why they take it down, telling them that i'm sad about it and enjoyed it and that even support team was doing a good job. They replied to me ingame with a gift (this jungle thingy spirit stone), and that they will start a new game soon: SNACKS MANAGER. Lol, nice gift and really a nice gesture! But really, snacks manager? Lol ok... i am not convinced yet :DD
Oh, and for now i don't feel like starting this game again on any server. Maybe at a later point... dunno yet (insert orkbuster smiley).

P.S: Would be nice if we got saskec to stop by here and register too. Maybe i shoot him an email and ask him. He's a fun guy to hang around with, guess he just got mega-bored and burnt out too. :D

And about game, gameplay changes to heavy farming game after Qurana City/Chasing the Light. That's where many people leave game, and were I had to choose... leave or go on.
As you can see my decision was to go on, not for game itself, since there are a lot of similar games around, but to keep in touch with you, and people there. And that's the same reason why i'm playing in the OB4 server. It's hard to start, but gets better after getting to know people playing there. Yet not as fun as it was AG1 months ago, but better than nothing for me.
Haven't said it so far, but no doubt i've also enjoyed being Templar with you. And look forward to find a new game were we can team up again, and fight evil forces again ;D 8). Somewhere in the future, anytime :)

Being away this past week.. was quite busy :P
Well, at last, it happened: AG server went offline, and on friday it was announced at OB4 that all servers will be shut down.
We were right beign suspicuos about it. Delay was only to get some of us hooked for another month. >:(
Found that there are others developers offering OrkBuster servers for "outside china". Not to mention chineese version of the game.
But although I liked very much the game concept, won't go on with it. Has many important bugs that allow some kind of cheating, and progress curves are simply very poorly designed. Submitted tickets about it all, and haven't seen any serious attempt to fix any.
Haven't found any suitable replacement game yet. There are tons of such MMO games, but all seem to follow the pay-to-win concept. Something I do dislike.

Oh well, i thought so, honestly. That's why i didn't join anymore. I'm also a bit fed up with the game, progress in the later game stages just weren't fun enough anymore to justify the time needed to play it. Just grinding and repetitive dailies. Too bad there are so many, actually good games that followed this concept and of course got shut down again because of greedy publishers.
GameHollywood surely did a great job designing the game. I still hope that it might return after a major overhaul regarding the stupid pay-to-play concept. Even the gift i received (+41% agility, among other stats) didn't change ANYTHING. Doubt we'll ever see it again though. Possibly not worth the effort for any publisher/developer to put any more financial effort in that game. Target audience is just too small. Even some of the biggest titles already failed because of stupid, greedy concepts.
I currently play SWTOR again (Star Wars - The Old Republic) which also has a lot of RIDICULOUS paywalls but at least i can still enjoy the storylines up to a certain point (newest addons) and play it for months, if not years. And even this game is having trouble finding enough paying customers. Because, EA. :D
Ah, well.
Will you keep this forum for us then, Etheron? Would be nice. Even when no one here is posting anything for a long while, we could still use it to post any news or such.

As far as i know, GameHollywood/Proficient City didn't make the game. Found R2 Games is/was also offering to play OrkBuster, as long as other games like War Tunes, WinterFrost, etc. Haven't found the real developer of theese games, but it's from China. Then companies like ProficientCity/R2Games, etc., offer game servers, esp. outside china. Don't know yet how commercial contract works, but should be some kind of one time or monthly payment for the license.
For example, WarTunes and DDtank were made by chinese 7 Road, Shenzhen city, Guangdong Province. Then game is distributed and licenced to companies like Proficient City, R2 Games, Game321.
Have some busy days ahead, don't feel much like starting a new online game. But most probably will do so before december.
Maybe you should create a new topic for SWTOR, or other intering game to follow? Star Citizen, maybe? 8)
Found there's a free WoW starter edition, limited to lvl20 and no cookies/coffee. Was thinking of trying it.
I can follow a game daily, but since I have not much time for gaming, rather prefer cooperative PvE focused games, rather than PvP.

So, at last, here we are...

We've found original china "OrkBuster" game (it's named different there): 塔防联盟
(no, really, it doesn't mean "Ork Buster". It's something like "Tower Defence Alliance")
and... believe it or not, many of us are playing chinese version, chinese servers.

暗黑暴君 双线62服: server 62 (a relative new server added, were exOrkBuster ppl are playing)

Game is quite different, with more features, and more developed.
i.e.:
* no need to farm like crazy for materials to upgrade towers. You upgrade with amethyst after reaching some needed hero levels.
* equipment up to level 80+.
* enchanting equipment is a bit different.
* instead of getting tower materials, you get some shards, you can then use on different things (not only tower upgrade).
* you can play multiplayer any dungeon.
* you can train monsters, and attack other players cities to loot amethyst (use it, don't stockpile!)
* you can build up city defenses with your towers.
* no mysterious continent. Events are different.
* dungeon layout is almost the same, but tower and monsters stats are different.
After knowing all this, makes my wonder: was it really necesary to ruin the game with all things changed as we had? >:(
Think I won't get a reasonable answer.
Anyway, if you have too much free time, and don't know what to do with it, go for it. You'll find exAG like Lan, Ratta, slag, Isabel, pame. And exOB4 players, like petra58. Remember server 62 (双线62服), join top guild (whatever it's name is).
